Here are some of the frequently asked questions and their answers. Please note that all these questions relate to the mobile app.

How do I Register
To register with Pakasha, you can select the login/register link on the default page that load when pakasha starts. A login form will load in another tab and from this form you can click on the register link which loads a registration form in a new tab
Do I need to register
You do not need to register to use pakasha. But most times, you will be required to be registered to submit data. This has been done for security purposes.
How do I change my password on the application
Once you have logged in, on your home page, there is a link to edit your profile/ change password. Following this link loads a form with your current profile info and a link to change password at the top. Following this link loads a form that allows you to change your password
How do I recover my password
If you have forgotten your password, or did not receive your password 24 hours after registration, you can always request for a new password from the login form. This form is accessible by following the login register link on the home page.
How private is my information
Pakasha Ltd will never give your information to third parties without your consent. For more information on this please read the privacy policy on the pakasha.com website.
How can I advertise on Pakasha
To advertise on Pakasha, send an email to adverts@pakasha.com and you will be guided on how to place your advert on pakasha
How do I logout other sessions
If you need to logout any other instances where you are logged into pakasha, for example if your device has been stolen, you can login to pakasha on any device and then logout all the other sessions from your "view profile" page by following the logout other sessions link
In which countries is Pakasha supported
Pakasha is currently available in Kenya only. The service will be extended to other countries with time.
What phone numbers are supported
Currently Pakasha supports only phone numbers from Kenya. Support for other countries will come with time
I did not receive the password SMS
If you do not receive the password SMS after 24 hours, and you have a Kenyan phone number, make sure that you didn't enter the wrong phone number by trying to register again using the same phone number. If the phone number is said to be already registered, you can always request a new password from the login page by following the forgot password link.If all these fail, you can send an email to support@pakasha.com.
I cant take photos from Pakasha
In some devices, it is not possible to capture photos from within an application. For such a case, it is recommended that you take the photo outside Pakasha and use the browse option of the photo input item to browse to your photo of choice.
I cant Preview my captured photos
Pakasha tries to capture an image as large as possible. Under some circumstances, the image might be too large such that previewing it might not be possible. Under such a case, if you are sure the image captured was fine, you cn simply use the image without previewing.
How can I get rid of the many prompts to allow network and file access
In some devices, it might be necessary to change the Application Access (App Access) settings for Pakasha such that you are prompted lesser on the permissions. This gives you a smoother and faster running experience.
What devices are supported by Pakasha
Pakasha application is currently available for J2ME enabled devices. Web based access to the complete feature set provided by the application will be provided with time. Pakasha is designed to run on most devices, even the resource constrained devices.
